Big Energy Saving Week 2015 is coming

Posted on

26th to 30th October is Big Energy Saving Week. It is a joint campaign  between Energy Saving Trust, Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Citizens Advice aimed at helping UK householders take control of their energy and heating costs.

There is great help and advice available on how to check you are on the cheapest energy tariff and how to switch suppliers if you aren’t. There is also practical advice and tips on how to save energy around the home. As well as all this online, there are local events being held all over the country providing information and help. The Citizen’s Advice website has details of these on their Big Energy Saving Week page.

StopGap is one easy way to reduce heating costs while enjoying a warmer, more comfortable home. If you have draughty floorboard gaps, or draughts under skirting boards or around windows, fitting StopGap could solve the problem and pay for itself in one heating season. Can’t say fairer than that. Remember that StopGap is easily removed, so it’s perfect for sealing up those draughty doors and windows just for the colder months.
